Flex Supplier Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction Program honored as a Top Project of the Year by the Environment + Energy Leader Awards
The Environment + Energy Leader Awards has named Flex’s Supplier Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction Program a Top Project of the Year. This award recognizes Flex as an exemplary leader, and for making great strides in energy and environmental management.
Mitigating value chain emissions calls for partnering with suppliers differently, sharing environmental disclosure knowledge and best practices, and promoting alignment to standardized reporting frameworks such as CDP.
We are proud to be recognized by the Environment + Energy Leader Awards, which is a testament to our ongoing collaboration with our preferred suppliers and CDP, and our continued commitment to embedding sustainability in our supply chain practices.

As part of the company’s sustainability goals, Flex committed that 50% of its preferred suppliers will set greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets by 2025 and 100% of preferred suppliers by 2030. In support of this goal, Flex launched its Supplier GHG Emissions Reduction Program in 2021 in partnership with preferred suppliers and CDP, a leading organization that operates a global environmental disclosure system.
The program includes a multi-phased annual disclosure cycle through CDP and a comprehensive communications and education plan, such as personalized, multilingual outreach, training sessions, webinars, and one-on-one supplier meetings, as needed. The training is designed to help preferred suppliers deepen their understanding of how to measure emissions and set reduction targets.
29% of Flex’s preferred suppliers set their own GHG reduction targets in 2021. This accomplishment puts the organization at 57% towards the 2025 goal, and 29% towards the 2030 goal.
