In a conversation with Business Roundtable, Flex CEO Revathi Advaithi discusses her career journey and formative experiences that helped shape her perspective on leadership. She shares how at Flex, “people are at the heart of everything we do.” When asked how to handle workforce challenges, Revathi stresses the importance of listening and learning from a global workforce of 170,000 people, in over 30 countries.

Advaithi walks through several examples of how companies like Flex can provide education and training opportunities, both for their own employees, and young people who are interested in joining the manufacturing industry. She also calls on policymakers to invest in additional training programs, as a skilled workforce is one of the most crucial requirements for building manufacturing in the United States. Finally, she leaves viewers with her two most important pieces of advice: “Take risks and build your support network.”
