Hooi Tan is chief operating officer at Flex, the advanced, end-to-end manufacturing partner of choice that helps market-leading brands design, source, build, deliver, and manage products that improve the world.
Mr. Tan is responsible for global manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, operational excellence, IT, and quality systems. He is focused on scaling Flex’s manufacturing excellence through leading-edge advanced manufacturing capabilities to drive quality, efficiency, and productivity across the company’s global footprint.
Over the course of his 23 years at Flex, Mr. Tan has held many leadership roles, including president, global operations and supply chain and senior vice president of global operations, overseeing 100 facilities across 30 countries. He also led operations for Asia, where he drove impactful productivity and efficiency programs and delivered significant P&L improvements in the region.
Prior to Flex, Mr. Tan worked at Solectron, an electronics manufacturing company for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Throughout his career, he has held a variety of leadership roles in operations, program management, business development, and government affairs.
Mr. Tan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University.
