Scott Offer is executive vice president and general counsel at Flex, the advanced, end-to-end manufacturing partner of choice that helps market-leading brands design, source, build, deliver, and manage products that improve the world.
Mr. Offer leads the company’s legal function, including government relations, corporate governance, brand protection and security, intellectual property, contracts, litigation, as well as ethics and compliance. He is also responsible for the marketing, communications, and sustainability teams at Flex.
In 2022, his team oversaw and completed the separation between Flex and solar tracker software solutions company Nextracker Inc., resulting in one of the largest U.S. initial public offerings (IPOs) of 2023 and spin-off from Flex in January 2024.
Prior to joining Flex in 2016, Mr. Offer served as senior vice president and general counsel at Lenovo, where he was responsible for overall legal strategy, negotiated strategic deals, managed the global intellectual property and litigation portfolios, and maintained legal compliance.
Before Lenovo, he served as senior vice president and chief counsel for Motorola Mobility, a Google company, and prior to that, Motorola, where he spearheaded numerous strategic global initiatives including Motorola Mobility’s IPO in 2011. Before joining Motorola, he worked for law firm Boodle Hatfield.
Mr. Offer holds a law degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science and is qualified as a lawyer in both the United Kingdom and the United States.
