Non-isolated, unregulated IBC delivers 800 W continuous power and 2 kW peak power with enhanced efficiency

The BMR317 is a non‑isolated, unregulated digital Intermediate Bus Converter (IBC) that delivers 800 W continuous power and up to 2 kW peak power in an ultra‑compact footprint measuring just 23.4 × 17.8 × 8.7 mm (L × W × H). With an input range of 40–60 V, its 8:1 conversion ratio provides an output range of 5–7.5 V.

At a 54 V input, the module achieves an efficiency of up to 97.2% at 50% load (60 A). The device is thermally optimized for cold‑wall mounting on the top side using a Thermal Interface Material (TIM), made possible by its open‑frame construction and absence of a baseplate. The BMR317 adopts an industry‑standard LGA footprint and pinout, ensuring supply-chain security and enabling second‑source compatibility. Despite its small form factor, it delivers an exceptional power density at peak power of more than 400 W/cm³ or 9 kW/in³.

Engineered for modern cloud infrastructure including AI, machine learning, and hyperscale computing, the BMR317 delivers new levels of power density and design flexibility for next‑generation systems. It integrates a PMBus interface for advanced monitoring, configuration, and control, and supports seamless design integration through the Flex Power Designer tool.
