As AI infrastructure grows in scale and power density, data center operators face increasing complexity

Axiom AI Module

Optimizing power, cooling, and compute for high-density environments requires an integrated approach to designing and deploying the critical infrastructure that supports next-generation AI factories.

Axiom AI Modules integrate critical AI infrastructure into pre-engineered, factory-built systems that are assembled, validated, and tested in parallel with site development. This approach reduces on-site complexity and helps customers bring AI capacity online faster.

The Axiom AI Module is part of Flex’s Cloud and Power Infrastructure (CPI) segment, which Flex plans to separate into Axiom, an independent publicly traded company, in the first quarter of calendar 2027.

How Axiom AI Modules accelerate deployment

Based on a modeled comparison of prefabricated modular deployment and traditional stick-built construction for an AI factory project with an 18-month (78-week) traditional construction baseline, Axiom AI Modules can reduce deployment timelines by up to 50 percent, from 78 weeks to as few as 39 weeks.

This acceleration is enabled by:

  • Design standardization and factory integration
  • Parallel factory manufacturing and on-site construction
  • Reduced on-site installation, testing, and commissioning
  • Integrated controls and rack-level testing
  • Fewer late-stage changes, rework, and field installation failures

Actual deployment timelines and savings vary based on project scope, site conditions, design requirements, and other factors.

About Axiom AI modules

Axiom AI Modules are prefabricated and commissioned in a controlled factory environment, integrating IT racks and essential supporting infrastructure into a single system before shipment.

The modules comprise:

  • Aisle frames
  • Coolant distribution units (CDU)
  • Secondary fluid networks (SFN)
  • Fernstromversorgungspanels (RPP)
  • Controls
  • Electrical distribution systems
  • Water quality management systems
  • Safety and leak detection components
