Jaime Martinez is the interim chief financial officer at Flex, the advanced, end-to-end manufacturing partner of choice that helps market-leading brands design, source, build, deliver, and manage products that improve the world.

Mr. Martinez oversees the finance function, spanning corporate accounting, financial planning and analysis, internal audit, investor relations, tax, and treasury. In his role, he is focused on shareholder value creation and driving the company’s long-term financial framework, which includes consistent revenue growth, earnings expansion, cash generation, and disciplined capital allocation.

As a cross-functional leader with more than 20 years of experience in finance, Mr. Martinez was most recently the senior vice president of finance for the Reliability segment and responsible for commercial finance including strategic planning and reporting. Prior to that, he was senior vice president of corporate financial planning and analysis at Flex, overseeing the planning and development of three-year strategic financial targets, collaborating with businesses and managing financial metrics, performance, and business reviews. He also led the Flex Finance Center of Excellence to support the development and standardization of financial reporting for the company. Additionally, Mr. Martinez oversaw the corporate budget and allocation process. He has extensive experience leading financial simulations, business modeling, and other key financial processes.

During his tenure at Flex, Mr. Martinez has held multiple positions including vice president of finance for the Lifestyle business, managing the multibillion-dollar business across Asia, Europe, and the Americas with a focus on growth, manufacturing efficiency, margin expansion, selective technology investments, and cash generation; as well as vice president of finance for the Consumer Devices business, where he managed a global team delivering profitability and cash generation. He has held site and regional controllership positions in Mexico, Hungary, and the United States.

Mr. Martinez received a bachelor’s degree in financial management from ITESM Tec de Monterrey in Guadalajara, México and a master’s degree in project analysis, finance, and investment from the University of York, United Kingdom.
