BMR323
600W/1200Wpeak non-isolated unregulated Intermediate Bus Converter
Main Features
The BMR323 is a non-isolated, unregulated Intermediate Bus Converter (IBC) housed in an extremely compact package measuring just 27 x 18 x 6.7mm (1.06 x 0.71 x 0.26 in), and delivers 600W of continuous output power and 1200W of peak power from an input voltage of 40-60V. This equates to a power density of up to 368 W/cm3 (6132 W/in3).
The unregulated device utilizes an 8:1 fixed ratio, meaning the output voltage ranges from 5-7.5V, ideal for those applications that require a lower intermediate bus voltage that can be helpful to optimize overall system efficiency when used in conjunction with downstream POLs, VPDs o VRMs (Integrated Power Stages) such as the BMR510 and others.
With efficiency peaking at 97.8%, up to six units can be paralleled for a total load of 3600W. The parts are mechanically and thermally designed for top-side cooling to a heatsink with airflow, or for liquid cooling via a thermal block, where the relatively flat design of the topside of the converter allows for easy connection via a thermal interface material such as a gap pad.
The BMR323 protection features include output current limit and over-voltage, along with over-temperature and input under-voltage. A PMBus® interface is included for monitoring, configuration and control, and the part is supported by the Herramienta de diseño de potencia Flex.
As with all Flex Power Modules’ DC/DC converters, it complies with IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 safety standards.
